“Wired,
weird and jam packed full of frantic energy, that's King Furnace
in a nutshell." www.ukmusicsearch.co.uk
Oxford based
King Furnace have built up a reputation for their energetic
and entertaining live shows, impressing their spiky, melodic,
twisted, proggy, alternative pop rock…
In
2006 and 2007 King Furnace completed several tours of England,
Northern Ireland and Scotland. They received rave reviews and
airplay for their debut single ‘Crash’ released
through cult Oxford label ‘Akuaba Records’ (available
on iTunes) and were featured in Computer Arts and Devolution
Magazine. King Furnace has also recently provided the soundtrack
for Sky TV’s coverage of the ‘Eurodrift’ Driftcar
Racing Series.
In
2008 the band are building up a head of steam, generating more
airplay, industry interest and high-profile gigs, including
a headline slot at the 3000 capacity Y-Not Festival in Derbyshire
and the Oxford Punt Festival. Their fantastic ‘Anatomy’
music video was shot at Shepperton Studios and is currently
being finalised at the award winning Sequence Post-Productions
at Pinewood Studios. King Furnace will be releasing and touring
two more singles before they release their debut album in autumn.
